Mission
We help cancer patients get access to the most effective treatments available. We want to make sure that our patients' lives depend not on their income or birthplace, but on the progress of modern medicine.
Background
Advita Fund USA is a sister organization to Advita fund in Russia. Founded in October 2007, it offers financial assistance to patients who have been diagnosed with cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
Needs
We need ongoing public support to help our patients receive adequate cancer treatment. First, we are focusing on helping patients with advanced or rare cancers get access to clinical trials with novel medications or treatment methods. We contribute to their treatment and travel costs. Second, we help low-income patients with leukemia or other blood diseases pay for bone marrow donor searches, as their cost is out of reach for most patients from the former Soviet Union ($25,000 per patient).
Impact Statement
Your donations help to pay for bone marrow donor searches in registries around the world, medical treatment, medications, diagnostic tests and scans, and direct help to affected families. We also serve as advocates for our patients: we help them obtain consultations by world-renowned experts, enroll in clinical trials with emerging medications, develop support network and raise funds for treatment.

Description
We raise funds to pay for donor searches for bone marrow transplants performed in St. Petersburg, Russia. Russia does not have a sufficient bone marrow donor registry, and leukemia patients who need the transplants have to pay over $25,000 for the search for the donor abroad.
