Teachers in Houston and the surrounding school districts have fewer resources than in the past available to them for enriching their students’ experiences. Consequently, training is essential to provide a deeper learning experience. In addition to our nature education programming, the Nature Discovery Center offers Educator Training through interactive workshops for teachers designed to build familiarity with and confidence in outdoor learning. We bring our own nature curriculum, termed Nature at Your Doorstep, along with Project Learning Tree and Project WILD, to train teachers in a way that creates a fun, hands-on experience.
