Other ways to donate, support, or volunteer
Volunteers are the reason we are able to assist the elderly, and our opportunities are very flexible to fit our volunteers' schedules. Our volunteers use their own cars to drive our seniors to their medical appointments and grocery trips and stay with them to ensure their safety and provide companionship. We are able to keep our doors open through donations and grants.
CEO Statement
Senior Rides and More was formed in 1994 by a Dominican nun and a registered nurse who saw the need for transportation for seniors who have aged out of driving but want to remain in their own homes. We are a multi-faith organization that receives support from both private foundations as well as faith-based organizations and churches who believe in our mission to assist the frail and elderly. Many of our volunteers come from neighboring churches in the southwest and northwest communities. Thanks to our volunteers, a 79 year old woman who is vision impaired with Macular Degeneration is able to get to her medical appointment; an 84 year old gentleman with kidney disease is able to get to dialysis; and an 82 year old war veteran is able to get his check-ups at the VA Hospital every month.
