Description
Avondale House serves up to 80children ages 3-22, impaired by autism in our school. We also provide support services to the child's family and referring school district. Our programs support the individual needs of each student, realizing that each child has differing needs and responds differently to various training protocols. Our program is approved by the Texas Education Agency as a non-public school, enabling us to receive referrals from and contract with school districts throughout the state. In 2010 we received our accreditation from the Texas Alliance of Accredited Private Schools. One of our greatest needs is grants for scholarships for families who do not have the support of their school districts and would like to place their children privately. Another significant need is new vehicles to replace our aging fleet. Community based training is critical for our students and this training relies on safe and dependable vehicles.
